Who We Are

Welcome to Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital

The Roaring Brook Pet Care Center has cared for pets throughout the Farmington Valley community for more than 30 years. Dr. Peter Berk first opened the hospital as a single-doctor veterinary practice three decades ago. In that time, Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital has grown into a full-service pet care facility offering advanced veterinary care, animal chiropractic care, avian and exotic pet medicine and so much more.

Our team of veterinarians provide compassionate, unsurpassed veterinary care to all pets, from dogs and cats to birds and other exotic pets. Roaring Brook Pet Hospital is proud to offer veterinary chiropractic care, which helps ease pain and enhances performance for working and athletic pets. We are one of the only hospitals in the area to offer complete veterinary care for birds, ferrets, hamsters, small mammals, snakes, lizards, and other exotic pets.

Roaring Brook Kennels is one of the largest boarding facilities in the state, providing a home away from home for dogs, cats and exotic pets. Our boarding facility features a spacious play area and lots of attention from our caring staff.

The veterinarians and staff at Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital and Kennels understand that your pet is an important member of your family. It is our goal to provide every pet that comes through our doors with veterinary medical care of the highest caliber. We strive to offer cutting-edge medical care with a compassionate touch and we treat all our clients and their pets as though they are members of our family.

Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital has become a founding member of the American Veterinary Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization created to support veterinarians in their humanitarian work.

This funding will go to samaritan cases, disaster relief, service dogs, and rescued pets, but remain available for local distribution based on the foundation's criteria. 100% of donated money is used directly for animal care. All Foundation operating expenses are met by membership dues paid by Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital.

We would like to make this opportunity available to any concerned person, if you would like to make a donation you may visit www.vccfund.org, and choose Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital under hospitals by state.
